somatic psychotherapy
“Despite my accomplishments, I constantly feel like I’m not Good Enough.”
“I understand logically why I do this. So why do I keep doing it.”
“I know I’m overthinking, second-guessing myself, and trying to get everything right. I just don’t know how to stop.”
Sound familiar?
I see you.
You want to feel more grounded, confident, and able to trust yourself.
Sometimes your mind knows something that the rest of you hasn’t caught up with yet.
You know the presentation isn’t dangerous, but your heart is pounding.
You know one mistake doesn’t mean you’re incompetent, but your body reacts as though you’ve been exposed.
You know you aren’t responsible for another person’s feelings, but saying no still feels almost unbearable.
We don’t experience life only through our thoughts. Stress, fear, emotion, memory, and old patterns show up in the body too.
Somatic psychotherapy helps us pay attention to both.
Instead of only asking, “Why do I do this?” we get curious about what is happening right now: what you’re thinking, what you’re feeling, what you notice in your body, and what happens when we slow the pattern down enough to explore it.
That’s where understanding can begin to become change.
Let's begin.
Explore
your inner landscape
What’s happening right now. Your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, impulses, and the stories you make about them.
identify
Patterns and Behaviors
The patterns that keep showing up. What triggers them, what they may be protecting you from, and what purpose they have served.
uncover
What matters to you
What you actually want and need, what is yours to carry and what isn’t, and where you have more choice than you may realize.
I’m here to help with:

Trust yourself without needing to get everything right
Set boundaries without managing everyone else’s response
Make choices based on what you want and value, not what you think you “should” do
Feel more present and connected in your relationships and your life
Create change that you can actually feel, not just understand
Feel more grounded when life gets stressful
Respond to what’s actually happening, rather than what you fear might happen
…then let’s get to work.
because, At the end of the day:
You can’t think your way out of everything you feel.

Somatic psychotherapy recognizes that we experience life through more than our thoughts. Emotions, stress, memories, and patterns can also show up in the body through tension, breath, posture, sensation, movement, or the impulse to fight, flee, freeze, or shut down.
In our work, we pay attention to those signals alongside what you’re thinking and feeling. Sometimes simply noticing what happens in your body as you talk about something gives us information that thinking alone doesn’t provide.
The goal isn’t to analyze every sensation. It’s to use all the information available to us so that change becomes something you can experience, not just understand.
-
My work is grounded in Gestalt and somatic psychotherapy, which means I’m interested not only in what you think, but in what you feel, notice, and experience in the present moment.
I also draw from mindfulness, positive psychology, IFS and AEDP-informed approaches, and EMDR when appropriate.
But you don’t need to know which approach you need. That’s my job.
I use what is useful for you, paying attention to what helps us deepen awareness, understand your patterns, and create more choice in how you respond.
-
Absolutely! I work with couples as well as founders and business partners who want to better understand the patterns shaping their relationship.
We will work on communication, conflict, trust, boundaries, recurring dynamics, or how to stay connected to yourself while being in relationship with someone else.
The goal isn’t to decide who is right. It’s to slow down what happens between you, understand the pattern you’re creating together, and explore different ways of relating.

Sessions are 50 minutes weekly.

I am an out-of-network provider and do not participate directly with insurance plans. This allows our work to be guided by what is most useful for you, rather than by the requirements of an insurance company.
Many clients have out-of-network mental health benefits that reimburse a portion of the cost of therapy. I can provide a superbill for you to submit for possible reimbursement.
Because every plan is different, I recommend checking your out-of-network mental health benefits directly with your insurance provider.
